As a recording and performing artist BRANT has proven himself to be a tough act to follow and has been very successful since striking out on his own in 1991 from his former band Enchanter.

To date he has recorded and released a total of eleven music albums and three spoken word projects, all of which have received rave reviews from critics and piers alike, not only in North America, but collectively reaching no less than 25 countries worldwide, now including parts of West Africa and Antarctica.

Though musically he has progressed into a much heavier direction than in his early years, BRANTs work still maintains that undeniably strong, high energy, driving power that many of us have come to expect from anything that carries his name.

His influence has been felt by a large number of younger bands and his music now collectively spans two generations.

If you like your music loud, hard and mean you owe it to yourself to check out some of BRANT's work and see what the rest of the world has been getting a taste of for the past 20 years.

The Early Years

BRANT has been recording and performing since 1983 and has released a vast amount of material since that period of time.

His earliest work prior to Enchanter has for all practical purposes completely disappeared. All efforts to locate any of it have been exhausted. However, many consider his recording career to have officially begun in 1984 with his band Enchanter who released its first cassette demo Instrument of Torture somewhere around very early 1985 with some of tracks getting underground airplay as early as the end of 1984.

Many bootlegs of the Enchanter material, both the studio recordings as well as the unofficial live recordings have surfaced around the world over the years and BRANT to this day still gets fan mail from time to time from people who think Enchanter still exist or has just come out even though BRANT himself terminated the group in the spring of 1991.

Below is a list of the only officially released Enchanter material.

All were pressed on cassette format only though some of the bootlegs have shown up on CD on ebay.

ENCHANTER-(Underground speed metal kings?)

Instrument of Torture (1985)
Essence of Overkill (1986)
Into the Black (1987)
Setting Out to Conquer (1988)
When Thunder Screams (1989)
Feast for The Deceased (1990)
A Subtle Hint of Noise (1991)

* Some people have come forward stating that they have performed on these releases and that their names were omitted as a typographical error or whatever. The only musicians performing on the aforementioned releases, at one time or another, who also assisted BRANT in the writing and recording of the material are as follows and if anybody tells you different they are lying to you. BRANT should know he was there for all of it!

John Galbraith- Guitars '84-'90
Scott Lewis- Drums '85-'86
Derick Hux- 'Drums '86-'88
Mike Cokenour- Drums '88-'91
Ely Venable- Bass '88-'91
Steven Clinton- Bass '87-'88, Guitar '90-'91

BRANT says, "Even though the above didn't always share my vision they at least tolerated it and I thank them. Where ever they might be."

BRANT is truly flattered by the number of people who have taken his early work and has continued to follow him on with his new material. He is considering re-releasing all of the Enchanter material onto CD but contends that it will be time consuming and costly due to the fact that so many different studios were used and recording was done mostly on reel to reel tapes and most studios used different size tapes, depending on the size of the studio. It would take a lot of effort to get the material mastered, with it being on so many different formats. But one day it may very well happen.
